Community enrichment programs

A crucial aspect of being a Caregiver is ensuring the safety of those entrusted in your care. This responsibility usually extends to the upkeep and maintenance of the dwellings and surroundings of those in need of care. Rest and Recharge + Helping Hands is our Caregiver program designed to offer respite to low-income caregivers aged 55 and above. 

Throughout this program, our representatives schedule professionals to provide lawn care, snow removal, and other minor home maintenance tasks. These services are particularly beneficial as part of a respite program because they address specific tasks that can be time-consuming and physically demanding. 

Additionally, Caregivers will be afforded the opportunity to participate in various group outings and gatherings, family mediation, as well as training and development sessions. Our partnership with ABC Adult Day Care Center  provides care in your absence if needed.

This program is designed with one main objective.... to assist in providing those well deserved moments of respite!

The Gems and Jewels program is designed to capture and preserve the valuable stories and experiences of seniors, referred to as "Gems,". The program aims to create a repository of these experiences, symbolized as "Jewels," which represent impactful and meaningful moments in the lives of individuals. The storytelling aspect is seen as an integral part of preserving cultural heritage and connecting generations.

This program fosters memory retention and addresses social isolation issues that lead to loneliness, which is an epidemic according to Dr. Vivek H. Murthy, U.S. Surgeon General. The program emphasizes the idea that the collective tapestry of society is woven together through individual threads of experiences, one family experience at a time. Ultimately, Gems are leaving a lasting impact on the memories and lives of others through the sharing of their stories.

Seniors and Technology in Neighborhoods (SATIN)  aims to improve health and financial assistance accessibility by bridging the technological gap within the senior community. SATIN addresses essential support and training needs for seniors seeking assistance in completing digital applications for enrollment in various public assistance programs, court appearances via Zoom, social media connectivity and technical support for in home devices. One-on-one training sessions conducted at designated locations provides the attention and care that our senior community needs.

Kaleidoscope, an immersive multicultural initiative, is crafted to identify and rectify the societal misunderstandings and tolerance gaps that fuel socioeconomic disparities in communities.  This program will act as that bridge to highlight the opportunities of comradery and economic growth for families and communities. A shared understanding becomes a powerful force in breaking down barriers and fostering a collective commitment to creating a safer, more equitable and prosperous communities.
